14 - 5 - 1; video games here and there.

It's still a great record with it being the first the season, but the Devils did end up losing the first road game on Monday against the Flyers. They still have the second best NHL record, so either way, they've made history this season. They face off against Dallas on Saturday, so we'll see how that goes. It's the third consecutive road game for this week, and the record is 0-1-1 for the three-game road trip. Let's hope something happens to climb out of this two-game losing streak.

On another note, I've picked up a few new games within the last two weeks. I have "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," "Assassin's Creed II" and the "God of War: Collection" that includes both "God of War" titles originally released on the Playstation 2. To start, "Modern Warfare" has a subpar singleplayer campaign, but its multiplayer is definitely enjoyable enough for the price to be worth it. I personally wish the game wasn't such a magnet for campers, but there we are. Campers do what they do, and knifing them is a pleasure.

"Assassin's Creed II," surprisingly, is an all-around worthwhile RPG experience. Its upgrade system, the currency, the lack of terrible, terrible repetition, all combine into a video game adventure worth one's time. The greatest surprise to this chapter, I think, is the story. Even though its foundation, where I'm almost certain it will lead us towards the completion of the series as a whole, is set in present day (actually, I think it's a few years ahead of us now, but I'm not sure), they don't slam it again and again at the gamer so he -- or she -- will understand it. They leave most of the story in the Animus and in the character whose name is Ezio.

Thankfully, Ezio is a character a gamer can proudly admire. Altair, in my opinion, was an arrogant and self-righteous character whose redemption never truly arrived. He toned down, certainly, but it seemed he still held himself in a place that he deemed was more worthy than where he was meant to be, and though this was never touched on substantially, it was something that I couldn't ever respect about the man. That, and the fact that his action got one of his brother's arms cut off, and another one of his brothers killed. This was another reason the game didn't affect me as greatly as it affected others.

With that said, this second installment provides the gamer with a character whose personality, though somewhat haughty at first, quickly evolves into confidence and integrity with the assistance of his uncle. He's a character I enjoy playing as, and I think that also impacts the enjoyment of the story. Plus, his accent isn't terrible. I think I understand why Altair's was, but still. It was nevertheless very, very, very bad.

All right, I'm sorry for rambling; it's a fine game, though, so I suggest you pick it up. The "God of War: Collection" is terrific, also. It's always fun returning to older games that shaped your preferences as a child.

Thanks for reading, everyone. Stay well.

Well, look at that. The two songs that look butchered are "Hoppípolla" and "Sæglópur."

Let's see. I can list you my favorite songs of theirs, and hopefully you take to them. :D

My order of their albums would probably be "Ágætis byrjun, "() [or the Nothing Album],"Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust," and "Takk..." and then finally "Von." The order repeatedly changed, but that's the order it stays at the longest.

As for songs, try these to start with: "Popplagið," "Hoppí;polla," "Glósóli," "Dauðalagið," "Viðrar vel til loftárása," "Ára bátur," "Illgresi," "Flugufrelsarinn," "Hafsól," "Njósnavélin," "Svefn-g-englar," "Starálfur," "Hjartað hamast (bamm bamm bamm)," "Svo hljótt," "Gobbledigook," "Sægló;pur," "Gong," "Inní mér syngur vitleysingur," "Ný batterí," "Góðan daginn," "Álafoss," "Festival," "Vaka," "Fljótavík," and "Fyrsta."

Believe it or not, there are still a number of other songs I want to add to this list but I'm refraining from doing so to give you a chance to all of them. And although this order is mostly accurate as to my favorite Sigur Rós songs, the list changes all the time and it's really hard to choose one truly favorite song by these guys.

And that's exactly why they are my favorite group.

And I love them. (I hope this helps. Let me know if I can do anything else.)
